Does being in the same sector as someone do anything? Like, do you get a defense bonus or something? (Yes, its a newbie question, but I need it answered, hehe)

Just look at how addictive this game is, ppl start to think it is PA.

Works great, the only thing im dissapointed with now is that i need to login each 10min or something. But this is still just a beta being tested and fixed.

I once asked whether intergalactic travel (meaning from, say 1:3 to 2:5) would be possible. Zedd replied that while it would be possible, it would take a fair amount of time to do it, so that may be what translator is (correctly) remembering. The implication, then, is that numeric/geographic placement is going to be a game factor. It may just be the travel time thing, but who knows.

Space Travel
 

You will be able to travel between any two points in the entire universe - however time is a large factor. The universe may be arranged in galaxies/sectors/systems/planets, which seems straight forward - however travelling between two planets will get increasingly difficult as you move out of your system and indeed your sector.

Just a sneak peak (for anyone reading this), you will be able to travel not just between planets, but between systems/sectors/galaxies themselves.

e.g. you can travel to sector 1:1 by entering 1:1:0:0 in the coordinates for your ship...... From there you can choose at your leisure where in sector 1:1 to send your ships....

heheh....I just want to see all the planets in my sector with my name on them.....:p

They aren't going to cheat as they want some challenge. They said they would be open for a fair fight. ;)
