1337 was once a inet language only known by a few (once upon a time... ;-))

but now everybody knows it and it has lost completly its value. Its only used by people, who want to show: Hey, I am cool, I can write 1337, I am an insider...

Cool people stopped writing 1337 a long time ago.

BTW: I think that most people know the difference between noob und newbie. But maybe I think this only, because I played Counterstrike some time ago.
